As a graduation and birthday gift combined, Andy and I decided it would be fun to go to Tahoe for the weekend! We also considered this to probably be our last big getaway before baby makes the debut....our "babymoon". Speaking of baby, it's kicking me like crazy right now! :-)
After doing some research, I came across a little cabin in South Lake Tahoe, called "Cabin 41". It's a little cabin that was built in 1941, has been slightly renovated, and was gorgeous! Even better, it was actually cheaper than staying in a hotel! We booked it a couple months ago while I was still in school.

I took the state nursing boards on the Tuesday before we left, and was absolutely convinced that I had failed - it was incredibly difficult. But Friday morning at the cabin, I checked the website on Andy's phone and saw that I had passed!!

A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to go to a King's game (they lost quite badly, but still) - it was a blast! After a couple King dogs and beer (the latter for Andy of course), we settled in for a fun game.

Alright, time for baby updates!! Biggest update for the moment....NO MORE PLACENTA PREVIA!!!!!!!!! HOORAY, PRAISE GOD, NO PLANNED C-SECTION!! Andy and I were quite excited...we had a follow-up ultrasound yesterday and my placenta was 5 cm. away from my cervix, and anything greater than 2 cm. away is considered normal. That was a huge relief, but then reality set in that, wow, I'm going to have to prepare to push this baby out! We start our childbirth classes in a few weeks, so I think that will be good.
So as I said earlier, Baby B. is moving like crazy, and I can't get enough of it! I have definitely started noticing more of the "rolling" than just the kicking. Sometimes it looks sort of alien-like when my whole belly moves up and down and side to side...Baby is definitely active. :-)
I officially enter the 3rd trimester tomorrow, and it's unbelievable to think that we will be holding our little one in approximately 12 weeks...I am trying my hardest to learn patience through this, but so much of me can't wait to meet our little one!
We found out yesterday at our ultrasound that the baby is 2 lb, 7 oz right now, which puts it in the 49th percentile - right on track! We also got 3D images of the baby's face, which I will be posting copies of hopefully later today (I'm needing Andy's help with that) :-). But we've decided that it has my nose and Andy's chin...let us know what you think when you see it! I must say though, it is the cutest baby face I have ever seen in my life, I couldn't stop looking at it (I know, I am a little bias...).

Our Baby's cradle! A story behind this: our baby will be the 5th generation of Baughman's to sleep in this! It goes back to Andy's Great-Grandfather, who slept in it when he was a baby. It went down the generations to Andy's Grandfather, Dad, Aunt, Uncle. Then Andy slept in it, as well as his brothers, his little cousin Vivian - and now our Baby B!
